Every lift is planned around the specific vessel — its displacement, lifting points, draft, hull configuration and the works required once ashore.
Facility specifications indicate vessels up to approximately 40 metres in length and approximately 10.2 metres beam may be accommodated, within a 150-tonne lift capacity. Actual suitability depends on vessel design, displacement, draft, lifting points and configuration, and is confirmed by North Coast Shiplift for each vessel before any lift is arranged.
